Sex toys

Sex toys come in all types, sizes and colours and can be used for both vaginal and anal sex. They vibrate, rotate, are inflatable, made of rubber, with feathers or beads.

The most common sex toys are:

  • Dildo – usually looks like a penis, used for simple penetration (hyperlink: penetration) of the client or you
  • Strap-on dildo – so that you can have vaginal sex with your client
  • Vibrator – in various forms, they vibrate and rotate, make a noise and light up, use them on your client or on yourself
  • Butt plug – a blunt, usually rubber object to plug in the anus. The shape of a butt plug is important: the end is round and wider than the rest, so that it doesn’t disappear into the anus
  • Whips – with leather strands or with feathers to tease gently or to hit harder.

Tip:

Give a vibrator show. You decide what you want to do, how far you go. It will arouse your client. If you want to avoid physical contact, a vibrator show is a good alternative.

Keeping clean

The hygiene guidelines for sex establishments issued by the National Centre of Hygiene and Safety set out exactly what you must do to keep your sex toys clean.
The most important recommendations are:

  • Always put a condom on the dildo or vibrator
  • Clean the sex toy properly after every client
  • Wash with soap and water
  • Rinse and allow to dry
  • Immerse the sex toy in disinfectant – usually, part of the vibrator can’t come into contact with water, so don’t immerse the whole toy in the water
  • Wash leather toys with soap and water and disinfect with 70% alcohol – this will also keep the leather supple
  • Disinfect metal toys with 70% alcohol.
