STI AIDS Netherlands has published this memorandum at the request of the Ministry of Health,Welfare and Sport. This memorandum presents the state of affairs of HIV and other STIs. It describes what is going well and what is not, what is promising and what gives us cause for concern.

Because of it's size, this document is being offered in three parts.

Part 3

In 2004 werden de resultaten bekend van een grootschalig onderzoek naar het vóórkomen van Chlamydia in Nederland. Op basis van dit onderzoek komt Soa Aids Nederland tot de conclusie dat selectieve screening op Chlamydia zinnig, noodzakelijk en kosteneffectief is. Dit rapport is de onderbouwing van het advies om te starten met selectieve screening op Chlamydia in de grote steden. Op 29 april 2005 is dit advies verstuurd aan Minister J.F. Hoogervorst van VWS en Prof. Dr. R. Coutinho, directeur van het Centrum Infectieziekten.
